5 Star Garage Door Service's Saxon, SC technicians replace worn cables before they fail, and re-seat drums that have slipped out of alignment.
Every Saxon, SC technician dispatched for Garage Door Cable Repair carries the specific tools and parts this job requires, not a generic all-purpose kit.
This specialization is why Saxon, SC customers call us back for the same issue instead of shopping around each time.
Uneven cable wear on one side often points to a misaligned track we'll also flag.
Galvanized aircraft cable resists fraying far longer than standard cable in humid Saxon, SC conditions.
Cables work under spring tension — we release tension safely before replacement.
Catching fraying before it snaps is far safer than an emergency call after.
Even a few loose strands mean a cable is close to failing under load — we inspect both cables even when only one shows visible wear.
A cable that's already snapped usually means the door dropped or hangs crooked — we stabilize it before beginning repair.
A cable that's slipped off its drum causes uneven hanging — we re-seat it and correct the underlying cause.
Extension spring systems should run safety cables to prevent whip-back — it's a quick, affordable safety upgrade.
The bracket anchoring the cable to the door corrodes over time — we repair or replace it as part of cable service.
Reach a live dispatcher at +1-866-597-3069 and describe what's going on with your door.
A stocked Saxon, SC truck heads your way, usually with a same-day arrival window.
We diagnose the actual cause and explain the fix in plain terms before quoting.
{Work is completed and tested through a full cycle before we call the job finished.|We verify safety function and smooth operation before asking for your sign-off.|Workmanship is backed by our guarantee, not just a handshake.}
"""Second cable was close to going too. Glad they checked both instead of just the one that snapped."""
"""Noticed a few frayed strands and called before it got worse. Tech said it was close to snapping."""
"""Cable snapped and the door dropped crooked. They stabilized it fast and had it fixed same day."""
"""Didn't know safety cables were even a thing until they pointed out mine were missing."""
"""Quick, professional, explained exactly what was worn and why."""
If only one shows wear, we'll say so rather than upsell the second.
A door suddenly hanging crooked is another common indicator.
We treat snapped cable calls with the same urgency as a broken spring.
We don't recommend it — cables work under spring tension requiring proper tools.
They run through extension springs to contain them if the spring fails.
We check cable condition as part of any service call, even unrelated ones.
We keep Saxon coverage tight enough to hold same-day response standards for this service.
Coverage for this service matches our general Saxon service area, with the same flat-rate pricing and guarantee.
We track service history by address across Saxon, so a repeat garage door cable repair call doesn't mean re-explaining your setup from scratch.
Our Saxon, SC dispatchers are standing by to get a technician headed your way.
